Miyabi Black 5000 MCD 67

It's a love affair at first sight. The knives in the 5000MCD 67 series are a visual delight, and the enchanting Damascus pattern is the reason why it captures the imagination of so many. The 132-layer Damascus steel blade boasts a cutting edge crafted through the traditional Honbazuke honing method, while the ultra-hard steel features a delicate floral pattern, earning it the name "Floral Damascus." This series is perfect for discerning cooks who value exceptional design, a razor-sharp cutting edge, and a gracefully textured blade. The CRYODOR blades are a marvel, consisting of 132 layers of steel enveloping an MC66 powder steel core. Subjected to a special process, including ice-hardening at -196 °C, they achieve an extraordinary hardness (approx. 66 HRC). The blade is meticulously honed on both sides using the Honbazuke technique, resulting in the ultra-sharp finish characteristic of Japanese blades. Each blade is hand-honed to a razor-sharp angle ranging from 9.5° to 12°. The distinctive black maple handle, fashioned in a traditional D shape, not only adds to the aesthetics but also ensures optimal balance between handle and blade. The eye-catching pin, resembling a mosaic tile, is a standout feature complemented by the refined end cap, completing the knife's overall elegance.
