Global’s 40th Anniversary seven piece block is a limited-edition route into the brand’s smaller, highly agile Japanese formats. Six knives sit in the iconic ship-shape block, including an 18cm Oriental cook’s knife and compact bread, paring, santoku and kiritsuke-style blades.
All the knives use Global’s Cromova 18 stainless steel and 15° edge, with the signature balanced construction. It is a collector-leaning set, but the real appeal is the concentration of compact, useful prep knives.

Lucy's Verdict
A limited-edition GLOBAL block for the customer who wants compact Japanese prep shapes as much as the anniversary story.

Why we chose it
We chose the anniversary set because it feels meaningfully different from the standard GLOBAL blocks: smaller oriental profiles, a limited-edition presentation and the ship-shape block give it a distinct buyer rather than simply another piece count.
Who it's best for
Buy it if you already like GLOBAL’s slim stainless feel, favour compact Japanese blade shapes and want the anniversary presentation as part of the purchase.
Follow the manufacturer’s cleaning, storage and compatibility guidance. For sharpening products, match the tool to the knife’s edge angle, steel hardness and blade type before use.
Free UK delivery On orders over £75. Blades ship in protective packaging — never loose in a box.
Warranty check Ask Lucy before you buy — we'll tell you honestly if this isn't the one.
